Bottle. Aroma is biscuit malty, little bit of citrus hops. Taste has the similar light citrus thing, but is pretty sweet too. Feels pretty heavy which I wasn't really expecting given it's a kolsch. Something a bit alcoholic about it. Not really for me I guess.

Bottle from Tokyu store, next to Kamakura station. Pours creamy golden, little on the darker side. White bubbly foam. Nose has grain, wet cardboard, some malty fruitiness. Tastes lightly bitter, relatively creamy, some biscuits, medium body. Bitterness is quite crisp, not completely balanced but drinks OK. Simple and decent beer, was good with some food.

From notes: bottle bought in Kamakura in May 2008, enjoyed August 2008. Orange color. Small head. Aroma’s: malty, caramel malts. Retronasal it’s caramel, light fruity and sweetish. Flavor: light to moderate sweet, caramel, later a hint of bitterness. Light bodied. A bit dry finish with light bitterness.

Bottle shared with Kanagawa friends. Light iyokan and mikan notes. Medium to medium-heavy body with average carbonation. Sweet on the palate, mikan, orange and bread. Finish has some light bitterness. Meh.

Bottle brought back from a friend’s trip to Japan: What a heavy little bottle! Crisply carbonated, pours a dark golden color with a bubbly white head. Mild aroma is mostly malt, light florals, and grassey. Nice body, thick and silky mouthful. Flavor is rather mild, but a pleasant herbal/grassy blend with the overal maltiness of the brew. Picking up a little grain. Finished a little watery.

Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a decent white head that dissapears quickly. Aroma is malt, light citrus hops, fruit, and a touch of alcohol. Flavor is muted. Fruit, malt, and some hops. Medium, creamy body. Solid, but nothing exceptional.
