Turbodog® is a dark brown ale brewed with pale, caramel, and chocolate malts and Willamette hops. This combination gives Turbodog® its rich body and color and a sweet chocolate, toffee-like flavor. Turbodog® began as a specialty ale, but has gained a huge, loyal following and has become one of our flagship brews. This ale pairs well with most meats and is great served with hamburgers or sausages. It is a good match with smoked fish and can even stand up to wild-game dishes. Turbodog® is also great for marinating and braising meats and cooking such things as cabbage and greens. Colby, Gloucester, Cheddar and blue cheeses go nicely with Turbodog®. It’s perfect with spicy Louisiana jambalaya or Spanish paella. Some even like it paired with chocolate!

355ml bottle into shaker. Pours murky brown with an enormous frothy head. Nose is dark caramel toffee. Medium bodied, smooth texture. Flavour starts sweet then has a lingering bitterness in the finish. Interesting brown ale. Much higher ABV than some English brown ales but just as easy drinking.

*Bottle from Schneiders Getränke, Köln. Dark malts, molasses, still refreshing. Nice brown Ale with hints of roasted hazelnuts, round malts and a nice but smooth bitter hoppy ending. Easy to drink, deep with a full malty fruity roasted body, nice.

Bottle. Pours dark brown. Aroma is strong milky chocolate and toffee, chocolate sauce. Body is rather light and thin, with a strong carbonation and almost no flavours anymore. Disappointing!

355ml bottle. Opaque, darkest brown colour with average, thick, frothy, fairly lasting, minimally lacing, beige to tan head. Sweet-ish, dark malty aroma, hints of treacle, a touch of toffee and chocolate. Taste is slightly dry, dark malty, notes of toffee, hints of chocolate, a touch of treacle and liquorice, minimally soapy, hoppy overtones. Narrow and restricted, anaemic, hitting just a fraction of the taste buds.

From a 355ml bottle on 16/4/2016. Pours a deep brown with a big head. the nose is very, malty, with caramel, toffee and nuts. The flavour follows suit. More caramel, toffee and nuts, with molasses and treacle. Has a very mild bitterness, fullish body and modest carbonation. This a nice , quite sweet brown ale.
