Wheat Beer
Sunshine Wheat combines the refreshing flavors of a Belgian-style witbier with the easy drinkability of an American wheat. This sun-hued ale blends soft, bready malts with a burst of citrus courtesy of orange peel and coriander; a light dose of bittering hops wraps up each sip with a refreshingly clean finish.
Knock back a Sunshine and cheers to the great outdoors.

This pours mostly clear with a thin white head. The aroma is lively, spicy and lemony. The flavor is pleasant but very weak. Light honey and spice. Very light palate.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a weizen glass. Aroma is dominated by coriander, small white head that dissapates quickly, a little lacing, kinda light body. Pours a bright golden with average carbonation. Taste is coriander, some wheat, and a hint of orange zest. This could be considered a belgium white style beer. Easy to drink, would be great outside on a hot summer day. --- Beer merged from original tick of Sunshine Wheat on 30 Dec 2024 at 02:57 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 5 | Flavor - 6 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 6. 8th October 2008. On tap at Wynkoop. Clear beer - very clear for a wheat. Slightly odd nose. Orange and coriander flavours. Refreshing, light and crisp.

12oz bottle. Thin, pale yellow-tan color. Thin layer of off white-head on top. Some mild hops in the aroma, smoothed out by the wheat. Lots of citrus and a smooth spiciness in the flavor. Somewhere between light and medium bodied. Very easy drinker, with some lemon citrus in the finish. An easy session beer all the way, and a pretty respectable version of the style.

Location: Rating on this one is from a trip to Denver summer of '07
Overall Impression: Not a lot of notes here, but I have this one down as an enjoyable light spring ale that does a nice job of emphasizing the features I enjoy in this style.

Poured yellow with thin white head. Faint aroma of spice and wheat. Thin flavour, again mostly wheatiness with very little spice. Thin finish a hint of apple, a hint of sugar. Very average. New Belgium can do better and has done better

Bottle from Icecody, thanks! Pale blonde. Coreander, ginger and citrus in the aroma. Thin. Sweet wheaty flavor with coreander, lemon peel and chewing gum. Lemon. Fruity witbier.

courtesy of vasdef42. Pours clear golden with white head. Aroma has ample notes of wheat, spices - coriander and lemon. Taste, light malts, good grainy palate with underlying spicy feel. After a few sips, the citrus/lemon comes forward followed by wheat. Finish with some bittering hops. Another New Belgium beer that is simple yet is just an amazing beer.
