Can bought at the brewery. A Winter Warmer is not necessarily befitting a warmer summer evening. But it is cold and wet. Opaque dark chestnut brown. Foamy off-white head soon retreats. Aroma is sweet and malty.... big stylee. Sour edge. Berries. Underlying dark fruits. Flavourwise it's sour. Tart berries. Peripheral fruity sweetness. Underlying malts. However it's the sour tang that rides the flavour wave to cruise into the finish. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Lazy soft-fizzy carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Decent, punchy, but not gett8ng a warming feeling, other than the existing fan man in humid weather sweats.
