31/8/2025. Can shared by Colin, cheers. Decent pour. Aroma is chocolatey, malted, dark fruits, berries, light smoky ashy edge. Moderately sweet with roasted bitterness and a slight tart edge. Moderate body, a little watery, average carbonation. Likeable.

Can at home, big thanks to Mark the Bearded Avenger, 25/08/2025.
Black with a khaki cap that thins to the edge.
Nose is cocoa powder, mellow roast, brown bread, dried fruit rinds.
Taste comprises roasted bite, ashen nip, charr, burnt toffee, dried fruit rinds.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close.
Okay stout.

Can bought at the brewery. A lively one. Mopping up delayed the rating. A stygian void. Thick frothy foamy beige head. Aroma has initial cream and malts followed by coffee and gravy, with a smoky edge. Berry streak. Flavourwise it has sour-bitter cold brew coffee with a berry edge. There ate hints of creaminess. A pinch of liqourice. Light-medium bodied. Slick verging on creamy. Soft-fizzy carbonation has some legs. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Nice. Perhaps not a true classic.but hits the spot.
