Happy birthday to the Borough Beer House! We brewed this fresh and crisp pale ale with Alice and Joe to celebrate their pub’s 1st anniversary. Azacca, Nelson Sauvin and Superdelic all contribute to birthday deliciousness.

Can bought at Borough Beer House, Farnham. Clear gold. Foamy tight white head. Aroma combines a herbal streak with soft sweet fruit. Big dose of malts. Medium bitter. Resinous. A restrained but still tart vinous flow. Sweeter fruit comes into play. Chewy malts are more evident into the finish. But it's the sour edged bitterness that prevails. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Flat-soft carbonation. Long finish is both rather dry and astringent. After an initial few gulps my enjoyment ebbed. The combination of dry bitterness, vinousness and herbs became jarring.
