Fiery Ginger Ale
Freshly grated ginger provides a soft, deep and citrusy ginger flavour on a light clean malt base with a touch of caramel sweetness. Aged for three months in old Benrinnes Whisky casks to add extra depth. Finished with a dash of Orange Habanero to complement the ginger heat and refreshing finish.

440ml can. Pours a slightly hazed gold, white head. Aroma of ginger, orange zest/oil, chilli. Taste is all "fiery" ginger combined with chilli giving some decent heat, orange zest/oil is noticeable too, whisky and barrel notes evident, mildly spicy finish. Light-medium bodied, spritzy carbonation.

This beer had me searching for "whisky cakes" as the can label references, but it turns out it was just a typo for whisky casks... all made sense when actually drinking the beer and finding out how prominent the whisky was!

Can from Lupe Pintos. Deep golden body with a thin white head. Steady carbonation. Patchy lacing. Aroma of marmalade, peach skin and ginger. Flavour of lemon, ginger and a subtle chilli heat on the finish. Thin to medium body with a slick mouthfeel. Light fizz. An interesting ginger beer, though it’s possibly over complicated.

This is a little all-in on the ginger and could do with a little more other stuff for balance but it's not bad! At least it does what it says on the tin(nie.)

Can from Appellation Wines.
Appearance - amber with steady carbonation and a lost haze. Fizzy white head.
Nose - ginger, wood and biscuits.
Taste - fiery ginger, going into ginger nut biscuits. Some fudge lurking.
Palate - light to medium bodied, zesty and spicy through middle and finish.
Overall - like it, very refreshing.
