GERIJPT STERK KARAKTER MET EEN KENTUCKY TWIST
Onze meesterbrouwers gaan elk jaar op zoek naar bijzondere spirits. Bedoeling is een bijzondere Duvel te creëren, anders maar toch herkenbaar. Dit jaar lieten we onze Duvel 6 tot 7 maanden rijpen op houten Kentucky Bourbon vaten, doordrenkt met de rijke smaken van maïs. Hierdoor krijgt deze Duvel een subtiel zoete ondertoon die zich onderscheidt van traditionele whisky’s. Dit geeft de Duvel een fluweelzachte textuur met aroma’s van karamel, vanille en rood fruit.
Perfect te combineren met blauwe kaas, donkere chocolade of een klassieke tarte tatin. Serveer deze Duvel op 8°C in een klein degustatieglas om alle complexe smaken optimaal tot hun recht te laten komen.

Bottle from Raynville Superstore, Batch No. 9. It pours ear oily amber with a decent fluffy white head. The aroma is sweet, oily, baked croissants, pain aux raisin, vanilla custard, crème brulé, bourbon soaked oak, boozey warmth, poached pears and honeydew melon. The taste is slick, oily, boozey, hot alcohol, rubbing alcohol, stewed pear, melon, apple crumble, candied citrus, bourbon soaked pale, croissant, pain aux raisin, vanilla custard and crème brulé with a soft, sweet finish. Medium body and moderate, fluffy body. Hot and boozey. Grew on me after a while once I got used to the boost

From bottle. Batch #9. Aroma is vanila with bourbon, sugar, sweet. Mild sweet and boozy, big barrel.

*rating overgezet* Gedeeld door Roelzie. Het is een goudgeel bier met weinig tot geen schuim. Het heeft een moutige wat vanille achtige geur. De smaak is moutig, zoetig en vanille achtig.

Klare gelbe Farbe mit weißer Schaumkrone. Malziger Geruch mit Karamell, etwas Vanille und Bourbon. Geschmacklich malzig mit Karamell, Vanille und Bourbon, daneben leicht fruchtig. Hohe Süße mit leichter Bitterkeit, voller Körper mit spürbarer Kohlensäure.

Bottle at annual Fryslân tasting. Clear golden color, no head. Aroma and flavor are malts, sweetness, corn sweetness, meh. Not good imo. 8-6,5-6,5-7-5.5

Medium, bubbly yellowish head over fully clear, metallic copper beer. Caramel, cakebottom, booze. Sweet and alcoholic nose. Sweet, rosewater, caramel, some fruity esters. Preciously little vanilla - Kentucky style? Raw booze character. Mushrooms retronasal, marzipan. Slick, alcoholburn, rather low carbonation. From all the BA Duvels, one of the least refined. Unidimensional, lacking complexity. Txs to Stef!
