Draft at the Beak brewery, Lewes. Poured almost black in colour with a mostly lasting frothy tan head. The aroma is roasty, light chocolate. The flavour is moderate liquorice bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, somewhat rich, roasty, earthy, herbal, light chocolate, liquorice bitter palate. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation. Didn’t get any coffee at all. A massive disappointment if I’m honest and I struggled to drink this. Maybe the canned versions will be better, but the draft version at the brewery was a mess.
