(11.8% ABV) Svart med tjockt, brunt skum. söt doft av vanilj, kaffe och choklad. Tjock, sötklibbig smak av choklad, vanilj, lönnsirap och lakrits. Spritvarm finish.

On tap in PDX. Pours a pitch black hue with a medium dark brown head. A big coffee and super sweet nose. Rich, toffee, maple, syrup for sure. The sweetness is over the top, balanced only by big coffee. Solid. Great palate.

0.33 l bottle from 'Ace Drinks', best before May 2027, cellared for about one-and-a-half years. Pitch black with a thin, frothy, almost stable, light brown head. Intensely sweetish, malty, gently roasty and a little powdery aroma of praline, vanilla, coffee and lactose. Very sweet, malty, gently roasty taste of praline, vanilla, coffee, lactose and maple syrup, followed by a medium long, gently roasty-bitter, slightly powdery finish. Medium to full body, smooth and gently creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Quite tasty but very sweet, has an artificial touch as well. A little disappointing, maybe already too old?

2017 Bottle at home from Grumpy Goat, 26th December 18. Pours a deep black beast of a beer, limited tan head. Aroma is heady, maple, bark, bean coffee. Taste is fabulous, complex and no where near as sweet as I imagined, it's raw maple, bitter, wood, vanilla infused maple syrup, biitter dark chocolate. This is a great imperial Stout, delicious sipping beer, by the fire.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Mikkeller Beer Geek Vanilla Maple Shake ].Clear dark black black colour with a large, creamy - frothy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, brown to light brown head. Aroma is heavy malty, roasted, maple, chocolate, dark chocolate, maple syrup, vanilla, alcohol. Flavor is light heavy sweet and moderate to light heavy bitter with a long long duration, malt bitter - maple bitter, sugary sweet, caramelized malt - caramelized maple syrup, alcohol, dark malt, sweet dark malt. Body is medium to full, texture is creamy, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is moderate alcoholic. [20181203] 8-5-8-4-16
