When Session Lager was first launched it was viewed by some as the start of the craft lager revolution. Flash forward to today, in that spirit of creativity and innovation, we have evolved Session to be even more crisp and refreshing. It's the best Re-Session ever!

Anyone who likes beer will like Session, it’s a beer that truly crosses boundaries, from blue collar to white, red state to blue, cocktail bar to barbecue. An extremely tasty American craft lager with plenty of flavor that goes down clean and smooth with a refreshing, crisp finish. American and European hops offer a wonderful noble hop aroma, and the two-row barley malt and pilsner malt along with our propriety yeast strain results in a bright, fresh taste profile that is extremely crisp, clean, and crushable.

Over the years, the Session brand has earned top honors at national and international competitions bringing home more than 125 medals including 70 golds. Session has truly earned itself a place at the bar, not to mention the barbecue.

Key Food, Flatush Ave Bklyn 12pack ($14): Pours a really pale gold color with a white head. Looks like a pale lager, although it smells better. This is a really simple beer, completely unpretentious character and design. Not too much flavor and tastes better on same days than others. Slightly sweet, little malty, and barely any hops. Better than a pale, but still nothing to write home about.

11 oz stubby bottle into footed pilsner glass. Aroma isn’t any different than the macros. I smell corn and cardboard. Bland. Pours a light gold with a medium dissappearing head that leaves a collar of foam. Taste is crisp and refreshing. It’s sweet and a little salty with no bitterness. There is a faint cardboard offnote. Highly carbonated. More body than any macro that I can think of. This is a boring beer, but that’s what the brewers were shooting for: a mindless beer to pound with your buddies while watching the game, playing drinking games, poker, camping etc. I often use PBR for these occasions. On those occasions when I have enough money, I think I’ll buy this instead. It’s better than the macros because of the body alone (and those awesome retro stubby bottles!), but that’s good enough for me.

11oz bottle. Aroma is touch of malts, mild. Flavor is malts, slightly bready. A decent session beer and one of the better lagers I have had lately.

A very clean and approachable lager, with moderate pale malt sweetness up front that makes way for a semi-dry finish with medium hop bitterness - not much else to say, really - a great beer to bring to a bbq, even for your non-beer geek friends.

11oz bottle from the state store
Appearance: Clear golden with a small white head and some lacing
Aroma: Yeast and pale malts
Taste: Yeasty, pale malts, grainy mouthfeel, some bitterness in the finish
Actually not a bad session beer. Something you could drink on a hot day while working outside.

11 ounce bottle from Whole Foods Market, Charlottesville, VA. Pours a clear amber color with a thin head that dissipates to near nothing almost immediately. Aroma of sweet, grainy and lightly toasted malts with a faint bit of grass. Taste is grainy, lightly toasted malts with a bitter, grassy finish along with an apple-like fruit note. Medium bodied.
