750ml bottle from the Press bottle club. No bottle dating or vintage. Four weeks of sleep in the fridge. Mojito glass @home. Clear, oily, dark orange gold, lightly spirited pour. Smells citrusy & leathery over a macerated, slightly sweet & sharp apple blend. Slight fennel/clove that usually tells me something sloppy is going on but the citrus tries to bury it. Sharp & bittersweet citrus upfront, leaning semi-sweet & approachable. Leathery middle, decent acid, lingering earthy bittersweet apples, pedestrian fresh cider-honey sweetness, moderate sourness, light minerality, faint industrial apple & lingering lemon on the finish. Thin, moderately high acidity, slight wax, strong enough. Avoided the brand, but this has enough good in it that it's a waste of time to pick apart, just enjoy it. Good to great.
