Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is roasted malt with dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa, some liquorice and ash. Flavour is moderate sweet and mild to medium bitter. Body could be a bit more full, but the alcohol is hidden well.

Bottle from HavnensVinOgTobak. Pours opaque brownish black with small dark brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, toffee, dark syrup, cocoa, ground coffee, vanilla, cream, sweet liquorice and hints of soy sauce. Taste is very sweet, medium to very bitter, faint acidic and light to medium salty. Body is creamy with light carbonation. Finish is long, intense, sweet, bitter and salty with notes of roasted malt, toffee, roasted nuts, prunes, dark syrup, cocoa, ground coffee, sweet liquorice, salty liquorice, soy sauce and vanilla. Nice, intense and yet well balanced. Apperance: +1 for the nice label

Tap at the Ørsted Ølbar, Copenhagen. Poured almost black in colour with a round tan head. The aroma is big raisins, red berry fruits and roasted malt. The flavour is moderate liqourice bitter, with a surprisingly light, slightly watery, red berry fruit, dry oaky, warm boozy alcohol bitter palate. Medium bodied with flat carbonation. I was really looking forward to this given the earlier ratings, however it was relatively light and super boozy without much else going on. It’s clearly a new batch as the ABV has gone from 10% to 12.7%. Poor and unrefined.

Bottle, courtesy of Dedollewaitor. Pours cloudy very dark brown with airy tan head. Clear aroma of malt, chocolate and coffee, with some estery notes. Bitter, roasty aftertaste with coffeelike notes and touches of lactose and malt. Estery and roasty aftertaste with sourish hints. Warming alcohol presence. A nice one.
