Notes from June 2009 On tap at The Blind Tiger for Vermont beer(& cheese) night. Grainy sunset body, topped off with ample fluff for such an old beer. Smell was slightly pruney, but with loads of sugar, orange juice/lime & plenty more of just pure citric acid. A touch of negating plastic too. Mostly cherry Lifesavers & maraschino juice, but the lighter the expected carbonation helps me pick out mild flavors of wood & cider vinegar, working into a strong, tangy, acidic pucker akin to drinking Hi-C &/or Sunny Delight. Very faint amount of malt. Finish is noticeably slick, continuing to be tart, but it eventually leaves behind a soothing trace of honey & confectioner's sugar. Comes off a bit artificial, but so tasty. $7 for a 12oz pour. Ordered them back to back. They should package it a juice box. :)
