This is a tasty 6.6% porter that we loaded with roasted aromas and flavor while keeping the mouthfeel and color light and refreshing enough to be a proper porter. We then added 22 pounds of whole Sumatra Mandheling coffee beans (Roasted in CT) to steep in the beer. This “dry beaning” process imparts an excellent complex aroma with none of the bitterness associated with the ground beans.

Taster pour from a can at Rising Pint. Opaque dark brown, ring of head, no lacing. Aroma is coffee and sweet malt. Taste is strong, lightly bitter coffee, somewhat earthy roasted malt. Smooth texture soft carbonation finish as taste.
