Zum Wohl!
Doppelbock Dunkel
20th Anniversary Brew
2005-2025
My 20th anniversary will be celebrated throughout 2025 with a series of anniversary brews, including unique collabs, as well as a lot of exciting events at the brewery and around the country.
Zum Wohl! is a collaboration brew with the popular Carsten Berthelsen, who has been allowed to determine the style, and we have jointly created the recipe for Zum Wohl!
Doppelbock Dunkel is inspired by the good German Bock Beer.
Zum Wohl is brewed with German ingredients, both malt, hops and yeast, and has been aged in tanks for 90 days. This was a big wish from Carsten Berthelsen, so that the beer is presented as authentically as possible.
The name Zum Wohl! has chosen Carsten, and he describes it as follows:
"Germans greet each other over a good glass of beer and say: Zum Wohl! Directly translated: To your health! In the good old days we said: "May you be well!". A beautiful greeting that should be revived".
Facts for nerds:
5 types of malt (Pilsner, Munich 1, Munich 2, Caramunich 2 and Carafa 2)
1 type of hop (Hallertau Hersbrucker)
OG: 1.072, FG: 1.010, 8.2% vol. alcohol.

Can 44 cl. Pours a clear, deep brown with a warm, reddish hue and a creamy and lacing, beige head. Bready, biscuity and toffeeish aroma. Solid aroma but not overly so, sweet caramel, biscuit and toffee. Lacks a little more balancing bitterness and lacks a litte more Bock character. 260625
