An Irish session ale balanced slightly toward the malt with a marmalade sweetness and a rustic grain palate and a roast dry finish. Phoenix hops bring in subtle chocolate earthy character and hop sweetness.
Paddy Losty known as one of the pintsmen, is a bit of an urban legend, his image showing up in “Dublin pub life and lore” by Kevin C Kearns under a caption about being able to put away 30 pints or more.
The book goes on to wax lyrical about the “Pintmen”: ‘upon closer scrutiny, pintmen exude a sort of spiritual aura when in union with their pint. An ethereal look can be seen in their eyes as they are transported beyond spatial and temporal bounds.’

Amber, bright. Cask head. Toasty, caramelly, moderate bitterness, more on the crystal malt than the Good Best, though they do have similar character.

Cask pour at Main Street Brewing. Pours clear gold with an off-white head. Stale malts on the nose. Flavour has stale malts and dry straw. Not very good.
