The hurricane proof beer. We had this magical brew in our tanks when Hurricane Irma visited our island in 2017. After the wind and rain died down we found this hoppy and bitter beer in our tanks. It’s hop-forward, with a clean profile and has a dry finish. You can still taste the power. We named this beer after Irma because we want to mark the time which was a difficult time for our island but also celebrate this special beer it gave us.

Tap at the brewery. Deeper golden pour with a white head. Nose is citruses, pine, grass, honey and some booze. Taste is resinous hops, grass, herbal notes and light booze. Intensely bitter with a dry finish. Light to medium bodied and it’s got a soft carbonation. Old school IPA that’s not essentially flawed but feels like it could use some modernisation.

Trued from tap at random bar on the Dutch side of Sint Maarten. Clear copper to amber color, whitehead. Smell and taste are malts, solid hoppy bitters, bitterness. English IPA / pale ale I would say. Not bad.

5/2/2022. Bottle shared by Erik, huge thanks. Pours hazy pale amber brown with a small bubbly off-white head. Aroma of caramel, citrus, stone fruits, flowers, pine. Medium plus sweetness, light to moderate bitterness. Moderate body, oily texture, soft carbonation. Light peppery sweet fruit. Quite nice.

Really nice foam and a soft cloudy orange body, smells of very bright hops that are sweet with yeast but otherwise very balanced in a continental way. Flavour is very hop forward with soft grain hints. A little watery, the hoppy oiliness could be more prominent. Otherwise this is excellent.

Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! A almost clear golden colour. Aroma of moderate hoppy yellow fruits, apples and yeast. Taste of dry bitter citrusy hops, some honey, pine and spruce.

Many thanks to CH-303 for sharing! Country #188. Floral fresh nose, nice floral hops there. The beer starts fresh dry hopped, intense floral grainy. Lots of fresh tropical floral hops, the grain in the back is a bit intense but fits in well. Round and refreshing with a piney sticky grainy aftertaste.
