Can shared with Dutchdrebus. Dark red-brown color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, caramel a bit, chocolate yes, caramelised sugars. Interesting. 7-4-8-4-16.

Can, 8%. Unclear brown with small beige head. Aroma is malt, caramrel, toasted and chocolate. Flavour is malt, caramel, toasted, sweet, dark fruit, chocolate and a little bitter.

Pour is a dark brown with a large creamy tan head. Aroma is some bitter bakers chocolate and not much else. Flavor is a pretty decent semi-sweet chocolate with a lite sweet chocolate syrup finish. I don't get the scotch ale part of this beer, this is just a brown ale with some flavorful cocoa nibs added.

12 oz. can. Pours a clear dark mahogany color (~SRM 25) with a small khaki head and good retention. Limited lacing. Light chocolate and caramel aroma. Taste follows the nose. Both the chocolate and caramel flavors are light and subdued. The 8.0% ABV is pretty well hidden, but warming. Overall very underwhelming taste, but still a decent sipper.
