Push The Sky Away delivers a drinking experience as ethereal as an Australian landscape. Brewed with Australian-grown Joe White Pilsner malt, this sparkling ale has a distinctive copper tone and gives off a resinous, earthy aroma akin to white grape must. Sips transport you to the Outback, standing at the edge of the bushland as it fades into the red soil and hot rocks of the desert- a warm breeze wrapped softly about. Notes of dried golden leaf tobacco, old school hash plants, and pine resin take the lead over a pervasive atmospheric brine characteristic to an island nation. Hints of petrichor in a long parched land bloom to finish. Galaxy, Eclipse, and Citra hops come together to keep the profile on the brighter side, bringing a delicate grassy, tropical dankness to the fold.

Can (4/23/25) from trade with CLW--thanks, Chris! Beautiful clear gold with nice swirling sparkle, thin head, fair retention, trace lacing. Aroma is strong Pilsner malt, white grape must over pine resin, hint of citrus. Taste is Pilsner and pale malt, white grape must, florals and mild pine resin. Smooth texture, soft carbonation, crisp, fairly dry finish as taste with lingering yeast and malty bitterness. More Pilsner than blonde ale to me; the hops give it some interest but, while I like the grape must, don't love the piney resin. Meh.

16 oz can. Aroma of malt on top of soft green apple. Flavor is pretty subtle. Weak white grape and perhaps traces of Apple. Mild malt back bone. A trace of pine in the finish. Had no idea what a “Australian sparkling ale” is. It is just a golden ale.
