The Banana Boat is taking you on vacation!
The banana split — a classic summer dessert made with a halved banana, scoops of ice cream, chocolate syrup, and loads of whipped cream — originally hails from early 20th-century America. In Hungary, we lovingly call it “banánhajó.”
We wanted to cram this childhood favorite into a 0.33L can. So we brewed a lactose-based stout and threw in a massive 30% banana purée. The result? A sweet, thick, creamy beer bursting with ultra-intense banana flavor — and just when you think it’s all dessert, the base stout peeks through with its subtle roasty notes.
So... did we pull it off?
Because the moment we cracked it open, we felt like we were kicking back under the palms, feet in the sand, yelling:

Hatalmas, nem túl tartós barna hab, sűrű, banánturmix jellegű test, barna szín. Banános, csokis, tejszínes illat. Édeskés, banános, csokis, kávés, tejszínes íz. Közepesen testes, enyhén szénsavas, alig keserű. Nem tudom… kávés banánturmix?

Tap at BPBW 2025, day 1. Very dark brown body, no head. Huge bananaish aroma. Banana taste, light caramel, some dry maltiness aaaand... that's it. Simple but okay.
