This Kvass was brewed in collaboration with our talented friends at Old World Levain baking of West Asheville, North Carolina. Mashed with local barley and rye from Epiphany Craft Malting of Durham, North Carolina. Fermented with our mixed house “dandy” culture until bone dry. Transferred onto and aged on 2nd use (spent) strawberries that were used in the creation of Rhythm Rug. Conditioned naturally inside the kegs and bottles with brettanomyces yeast.

Keg at Cloudwater unit 9. A hazed yellow straw coloured pour with a fading white froth. Aroma is blueberry muffin, tart lemon, semi sweet bread, zippy lemon, rye. Flavour is composed of bready grains, sharp zesty citrus, lime zest and juice. Palate is sharp, lime, citric acid, highish carbonation, spritzy.. Packs a punch for 2.8%

Draft at Salud Bottle Shop. Cloudy yellow color scant head. Dusty berry aroma. Tart strawberry taste with moderate funk. Bears no resemblance whatsoever to a kvass but tasty enough
