Quintessential English hops Fuggles and Goldings combine in this ESB, providing a delicate hop aroma with notes of honey and a slight earthy spice. Crystal malts give a deep amber colour and malty sweetness to the body of the beer, complemented by a well-balanced bitterness.

Isle Of Wight Holiday Beer#60. Not too many ESB ales found in a can, but this is an excellent example. Mildly hazed amber, light but very tasty almost chocolate styled malts, hoppy, nice mouthfeel and very traditional in design. Lovely with a fruity aroma and aftertaste. Found at the Duke Of York pub in West Cowes before getting the chain ferry back to the east side.

Can bought at Runcton Farm Shop. Amber gold. Clear. Thick foamy white head. Bubbly top. Aroma is malty with a sweet, fruity gluey streak. Sweet. Fruity. With a nutty edge. Underlying caramel and chocolate. Chewy doughy malts. Flavourwise we have an initial berry hit, If I was one of those type of.peolple I would say, "'Tis sour, my lord." Fruity to boot. Develops a sweetness. Also, caramel. And nuts. Light. Thin. Bouyed by soft-fizzy carbonation. Long slightly astringent finish. This ESB hits the spot.
