Victorian Craft Beer Cafe Back In Black Beer Festival 2025, Beer#6. Dark, the least black of the festival beers had so far. Its mint chocolate is heavy in aroma and aftertaste, with some respite in taste. At ice cream serving levels, rich, borderline overbearing.

Cask at Alexandra, Derby. Pours a dark (almost very dark) reddish-brown with minimal off-white head. There’s roasted malts and herbs in the aroma. In the mouth it is sweet with a creamy texture, but also a little underlying sharpness. Flavour starts off with malts and chocolate with cola, lactose and herby hints coming through later. A little spice in the finish. This is decent.

Half a pint at the 3 B's, on cask.
Medium creamy beige head. Clear almost black pour. Nice mint chocolate aftertaste.
