Keg at Gravity 2025 Saturday. Pours black with a thin tan head. Aromas of chocolate and dark fruit. Taste is more of the same. Light roast finish. One of only a handful of dark beer on. Nice.

I've never had any 'Slate' in any pub I've often frequented, it's just a television myth to me. This Slate is no myth, a carbonated first, sweet dark malty stout, nothing particularly roasted here beyond a hint in aroma.

Keg at Fell Bar in Penrith - jet black body with a short lived tan head. Charcoal dusty malts, chocolate, liquorice, blackcurrant and burnt nuts.
