Separated at Birth

Hugo is the evil twin of Bart.

Bart and Hugo are two IPAs that were brewed as one, fermented in the same tank, then separated at birth (ie: just before canning).

Hugo is darker, bitterer* and has more pine and resinous flavours thanks to generous hopping with Mosaic and Chinook

Can. Clear reddish brown with a cm of beige head. Aroma of citrus, some peach, chocolate brioche. Bready, no roast. Citrus overtaken by pine needles, peppery bitterness. Seems more focussed than Bart - I guess that's the attic for you. Bitterness is accentuated by dryish finish. Pretty good.
