Speciaal voor Zouterover, barbecuespecialisten in de Kolonie van Wortel, brouwde ik deze farmhouse ipa. Het bier dankt z'n bitterheid aan een uniek ingrediënt: wortelloof, dat zo een tweede leven krijgt. Nelson Sauvin en Simcoe zorgen voor het aroma, een tikje red rye levert de oranje kleur. De rest doet het wortelloof... Schol, Wortel!

Pretty clear orange blond beer, creamy big yellowish head, pretty stable, a bit adhesive. Aroma: very spicy, yeasty, dirty, weird, funky, raw carrots, malty touch, chemical, quite some band-aid. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: yeasty, dirty, weird, funky, unpleasant, rubbery, chemical. Aftertaste: soft bitterness, more chemical flavours, dirty, weird, unpleasant finish, don’t like this one little bit. Something clearly went badly wrong in the brewing of this beer. The outcome is horrible!
