Brewed with Lactose, Mosaic Lupulin Powder, and fermented on top of ripe Strawberries, this brew has just enough hop bite and subtle strawberry sweetness to shine through its overall tart character.

The hops overpower the strawberry just a hair

Sample at Daily Growler Powell. Slightly hazy gold color with a medium thin white head that burns away quickly to a film. Sparse strings of lace. Aroma of strawberry, funky wheat and malt. Medium body with flavors of strawberries, mildly funky yeast, hops and malt. The finish is fruity with a strawberry and hop aftertaste. Decent overall.

Can from Chris M., thanks: pours slightly misty orange with a whitish head. Aroma is strawberry and light funkiness. Taste is quite sour, slightly sweet, strawberry notes are there but not too intense. Too acidic for me.

Almost perfectly clear deeper copper and soft bronze coloured body with still some hints of gold and yellow with a good, two to three centimetre tall pure white head. Aroma of very fragrant and elegant strawberries, funk, light raspberries, tart wheat and a strong but very mouth-watering soured yeast bite noticeable way up front. Light-bodied; Sharp strawberry and fruit funk dominate up front with a light kick from some caster sugar, but way more from lactose and a good deal of dried and tart bretty notes with some light blueberry and raspberries as well, but this is soft and very easy-drinking with a lot of wheat noticeable as well. Aftertaste shows the very easy-drinking, soft wheat and fruit-based components with some sweetness and funky yeast as complex notes to this already enjoyable beer. Overall, a very good representation of a soured and tart beer - and while I'm not sure of the 'IPA' aspect of this (it may have been used as an IPA as a starter for the recipe), the fruits and yeast take over in a great way. If you can still find this, definitely try to grab this, as it's quite nice! I sampled this twelve ounce can purchased from Total Wine in Towson, Maryland on 27-May-2019 for US$2,49 sampled at home in Washington after completing the 2019 USMC Marathon on 27-October-2019 a few blocks from home in Washington.
