A black, shadowy IPA filled with bitterness and dark vibes? Sounds like a good time, if not even a little therapeutic. A lineup of Simcoe, Citra, Motueka, and Amarillo lend both a refined bitterness from whirlpool hopping along with calming dry-hop aromatics of citrus, florals, and boreal forest.
Drink it in and let it out.

From a 440ml can on 14/10/2025. Pours a very deep brown with a medium tan head. The nose features dark chocolate, some fridge notes, and a good whiff of piney hops. Tastes of dark chocolate, coffee, caramel, dried fruit and a hint of Vegemite, leading into a firmish pine/resin bitterness, with a touch of roastiness in the mix. Fullish body with average carbonation. Doesn't present as big as 8.5%. Really nicely balanced and very enjoyable.

Can. Black, a 2cm light tan head. Aroma of kumquat, mocha, nectarine, light bread. I say - are there hints of boreal forest needles? Mayhap a soupçon. Medium bodied, medium low carbonation. Bread and mocha, little sweetness. Citrus then stone fruit and pine before an easing into pretty strong bitterness. Very nice. Dangerously drinkable.
