This pear’s DNA profile was unique when tested in 2022. Growing on Saycell’s Farm in Kempley, Gloucestershire. It makes a perry with clarity, tannic structure and complex flavours of honeyed pear alongside firm bitterness. A relic of time, to make perry from these ancient trees is a privilege and a duty to the generations who planted these trees. 500ml. 6.8%.

500ml bottle from Cat in the Glass. For #rgpm. Slightly hazed pale gold colour, no lasting head and aroma of perry pear, funk. Taste is sweetish, perry pear, fleshy fruit, wood, chalky, citric with some drying tannin. Medium bodied, low carbonation, dry peary tannic finish. Nicely drinkable.
