Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 17A). Bottle 33 cl - Batch RB05.18 (BBF SET20). AROMA: low metallic note, followed by medium-low solventy aroma and low toffee-like malt and dried fruit. APPEARANCE: ruby amber color and clear. low beige head with low retention. slight leg formation. TASTE: similar to the aroma with initial medium solventy flavor, medium-low toffee-like malt and low esters (dried fruits). low background yeasty flavor. medium-low bitterness with an almost dry finish. PALATE: medium body with low carbonation. OVERALL: a good strong ale base that needs fermentation tweaking.
