AROMA: medium to medium-high alcohol notes with a peppery, vinous and almost solventy character, followed by medium Porto barrel without wild notes and slight wood. low background of raisins and slightly sweet and caramelized malt. APPEARANCE: amber colour and hazy. medium light brown head with average retention. slight leg formation with visible alcoholic viscosity. TASTE: medium Porto barrel flavour with a vinous, woody and slight vanillin presence. low background of caramel malt and faint raisins. medium-low bitterness with a semi-dry finish. PALATE: medium-high body with medium carbonation. expressive alcoholic warmth. OVERALL: a very nice Porto barrel-aged strong ale where the spirit is present with a supportive base beer.
