AROMA: medium-high dark molasses aroma, medium dried grapes, dried ginger, medium-low roasted malt and medium alcohol notes (almost lacquer). APPEARANCE: very dark ambar color and slightly hazy. medium light brown head, moussy, with average retention. leg formation. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium-high alcohol notes (peppery and almost lacquer), medium dark moulasses, slight dried plums, faint woody, medium-low roasted malts. medium bitterness and balanced with a medium-sweet background. finishes medium-dry and slightly toasty. PALATE: full body and velvety. medium carbonation. alcohol warmth but not harsh. OVERALL: a nice belgian strong-like beer with good notes and good to age.
