Review based on the BJCP2015 guidelines (style 26D). Bottle 33 cl - Batch L240117 (BBF 17-11-2020). AROMA: medium-low malty aroma with bready-toasty notes, slight dried prunes and medium-low lacquer. APPEARANCE: dark ambar color and clear. medium-low beige head with medium-low to low retention. lace formation. TASTE: similar to the aroma with medium lacqer flavor, medium-low bready-toasty sweet malt presence and caramel. medium-low bitterness with an almost dry finish. PALATE: medium-low to low carbonation. slight agressive alcohol warmth. medium-low body. OVERALL: a belgian dark strong ale with a bit of distracting alcohol presence.
