Dark brown, inky. No head. The aroma has lots of malt depth, and that's something that you know the walnuts and Thai banana will only beef up. On the palate, it's got a big richness, nice umami. The barrel lends a nice accent to the dark sugars of the base. I don't get all the adjuncts overtly, but everything comes together really well here. Excellent.

750mL bottle, pours jet black with a small tan head. Aroma is wonderfully complex, with deep bourbon barrels, light cocoa, and toasted nuts – not detecting the banana (thankfully?). Flavour is remarkably rich and cohesive, with deep bourbon, lots of dark sugar, just enough caramelized banana, and a touch of toasted nuts (though I can’t say I detect walnuts in particular). That bourbon barrel really steals the show. Wonderfully complex, balanced, and I daresay elegant. Beauty.
