We opened our doors in 1988, as Horsefeathers Fine Food & Spirits, a fine dining establishment. Six years later, with a desire to brew our own beer we put our 4 barrel brewery in the cellar below the building, changed our name to Big Horse Brew Pub, and created a more casual pub menu and atmosphere. We are extremely proud to be Hood River's oldest brewpub, now celebrating our 30th Anniversary serving our local community and travelers to the Gorge. Admin Note: Big Horse Brew Pub suffered a fire in 2019 that forced the brewery to close. There is some activity on their Instagram account showing that they are planning to rebuild the pub. Brewery is listed as closed on Brewver for now, but the situation is being monitored.
