Description
“Our goal is to perpetuate the appreciation of craft beer. We have created an artfully eclectic environment where our guests can also enjoy quality food and live music.”
-CEO Devin Hicks
The new enterprise is owned by the Hicks family who run the sister operation, the well-established beer destination, Westover Market Beer Garden and Haus.
The name “Sehkraft” means “vision,” or “eyesight” in German. Sehkraft Brewing seeks to bring about the vision of what the craft beer movement is all about. The 9,000 square foot brewpub houses a 10-barrel brewhouse, a 200+ seat indoor restaurant offering hearty family fare, a 100+ seat beer garden, a retail butcher, and cheese shop and a stage featuring a variety of performing artists.
At Sehkraft Brewing, other brewers are not adversaries, they are accomplices, united to give craft beer the exposure it so richly deserves. In addition to five in-house brews, “We feature thirty guest beers. Many taps are dedicated to local breweries from Virginia, Maryland and DC.
