Witte Klavervier was founded on January 28, 2011. The initiators behind Witte Klavervier are Freek and Henk Ruis. De Witte Klavervier first operated from a monumental building in the historic city center of Zwolle. Between 2011-2018 it was a client brewer, beers were brewed by several breweries (a.o. the Scheldebrouwerij and the Sallandse Landbier Brouwerij). In 2018, the brewery made a restart as part of De Graanrepubliek in Bad Nieuweschans.
