Description
The brewery was founded in 2022. Initiator Allard Pos has always worked in the catering industry and about six months before the outbreak of Corona he came up with the plan to start his own brewery. What started with a presentation of some beers to the guests of his former employer eventually led to his own brewery with a shop in Son en Breugel. The name of the brewery refers to Krutjesgat, the name of Son en Breugel during carnival.
The brewery brews traditionally with the help of modern equipment. The raw materials come from the region as much as possible. For example, we collaborate with a Sonse barley farmer for our own brewing barley. This barley is malted by a traditional floor malting house. The hops come from new hop fields from Boskant (near Sint-Oedenrode). After brewing, the spent grain, the residual product, is used by 't Sons Bakhuys to make bread. The remaining spent grain goes to De Stoerderij water buffalo farm in Breugel.
