"1,000 generations of joy tiger shop". Since its founding in 1922 as an independent branch of the family, the company has been brewing sake in Sagae City, Yamagata Prefecture, for over a century. With a view of the sacred 1,980m Mt. Gassan, capped with perpetual snow, in the distance, and the meltwater from that mountain flowing down the Sagae River to irrigate the fields, the company is grateful and proud to be in a place blessed with high-quality rice and water, and to make the most of this local characteristic, it brews handmade local sake using only rice grown in Yamagata Prefecture.
