Description
Founding origins date back to 1730. Based in Limehouse, London, it was a significant London brewer. It was acquired by Ind Coope in 1959 with 1,360 houses & off-licences. Brewing ceased in 1960.

In 1961, Ind Coope merged with Tetley Walker and Ansells to form Ind Coope Tetley Ansell Ltd. Renamed Allied Breweries in 1963. Beer bearing the Taylor Walker name was brewed at the Burton (Ind Coope) plant of Allied Breweries until the mid-1990s.

Carlsberg Brewery Ltd merged with Allied Breweries in 1992 to form Carlsberg-Tetley. The remaining pub estate was sold to Punch Taverns in 2000.

In 2010, with agreement from Carlsberg, Punch Taverns reintroduced the Taylor Walker name for approx 120 of its managed, traditional London pubs. Punch Taverns demerged its managed pubs arm as Spirit Pub Company in 2011 which took on the Taylor Walker name. In this period beer bearing the Taylor Walker name was produced by Westerham Brewery.

Spirit Pub Company was acquired by Greene King in 2015. Taylor Walker branded beer was then brewed in Bury St Edmunds for a short while after which the name was withdrawn.

Any beers from before the 1959 acquisition should be listed separately.
