Bright copper colour (like a shiny penny). It has that tinny, vaguely caramelly "Am Dark" nose. Decent body but there remains that caramelly metallic taste that is too simple for such a beer.

Golden-straw colour. Slightly herbal aroma, but fairly light by pilsner standards. Creamy, grainy bready malts are well balanced with earthy and slightly spicy hops.

Bright straw with a limited head. Vague, slightly grainy character. Very soft with bready malts, herbal notes and fresh cracked grains. Ok, not the most helles example of a helles I’ve had.

Golden amber. Very pretty. Fully caramelly character with chocolate malt accents. Nice malt complexity. Good beer - can’t wait to visit the brewpub.

On Tap at the BP. Clear golden light amber, witha small trace of a light tan head. Light grain and soft citrusy hops. Very mild Pale ale with lovely balanced flavors and bitterness. I prefer the west coast American Pales but this is a nice medly of all the flavor componanats. Normaly I would call this kind of taste boring uninteresting, but for some reason this just seems nice and well done. cant put my finger on it though.

On tap at the BP. Clear deep mahogany, with a lasting fine off white head. Faint, light malty aroma with notes of soft roasted grains. Flavor is sweet woody, toasted malts. Nice soft hints of toasty roasty malts.

On tap at the BP. Clear light brown amber with a small but persistant light tan head. Light malty woody arooma, with just a touch of a twang of hops. Flavor is malty and soft. LIghtly carmelized, Lively carbonation and a nice balanced slightly woody flavor. I really liked this beer, especially for a style I dont get too excited about. Well done.

On tap at the BP. Lovely clear golden with plenty of effervescence. Small white skin of a head. Faint sweet light grain aroma. Flavor is sweet, and bready., A slight tart bite at the end, but tart and refreshing. A bit corny and cerealy but light crisp and nice, if a bit sweet. ]

Draft at Naked City Taphouse in Seattle. Pour is dark golden, clear, with a very small off white head. Aroma is very faint, really not much there at all. Perhaps a touch of toasty maltiness. The taste reveals the smoked malt, and its really nicely melded into a solid malty, hay lager. The smoke is very much a complement to the base beer. The smoked malt carries the aftertaste, which is very clean. Really nice beer, and very drinkable. Smoked malt was a bit of a palate killer, but who cares this was tasty.
