Description
Sagene Bryggeri is a microbrewery at Sagene in Oslo, Norway. The brewery was established in 2013, in central Oslo on the banks of Akerselva river. The brewery is located in the venerable premises in the former Hjula Veveri, that once housed weavers that created woven fabrics for the population of Oslo.
We have unassuming enough as an ambition to become "Oslo beer." To achieve this, we produce the craft beer in our premises at Sagene. In addition, we have entered into a long-term collaboration with Arendal's brewery for the production of Sagene lager beer for grocery chains, as well as Vinmonopolet bottle shops, bars and restaurants. From 2024 all beers are brewed by Arendals.

Can. A nice looking, clear, golden beer topped by a small, dense, white head. The aroma is on the fruity side, with canned peaches, banana, pears and some pineapple. Not much malts going on, but some light caramel notes can be detected. It’s quite dry on the palate, with a smooth carbonation. Some bitterness in the flavor, just enough to keep the caramel sweetness under control. It’s rather fruity, with some grassy and biscuity notes. Fruity, biscuity finish with a balancing bitterness. Sweet like Heineken, flawless and boring. No points deducted from being a product of marketing only. 141113

33cl bottle from Rimi Vossegata, Oslo. Pours clear copper coloured with an off-white head. Malty aroma with lots of caramel, hints of herbs and metal. Fairly sweet with mild caramel flavours and a quite light bitterness. Watery and boring, but drinkable enough if served ice cold. --- Beer merged from original tick of Bayer on 10 Nov 2014 at 19:17 - Score: 4

Enkel grei pils uten noe fiks faks. Selges vel kun som merkevare. Ok lys kropp med ett flott hvit hode. Mild malty og en anelse herbal.

Can and bottle at Månefisken. Mild malty grainy with hints of herbs hops. Moderate sweet with a fairly light bitterness. Fairly standard industrial pale lager some bitter hops, but not impressive. Drinkable but nothing I would buy. (2014-09-18) --- Beer merged from original tick of Pilsner on 18 Sep 2014 at 20:13 - Score: 4

Kort.
