Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a hazy gold with a finger of creamy foam that lingers. Lots of creamy pineapple and orange sherbet on the nose. Creamy on the palate with more tropical fruit flavors alongside prickly dank pine. Like a freshly squeezed pineapple smoothie.

Taster at Liquor Express. Pours dark brown, with a small, grey filmy head. The aroma is vanilla, caramel, banana, and brown sugar. Sweet and yeasty, with a mild bitterness. Medium body, with a slick, smooth mouthfeel. This is a solid and creative beer.

Starts off well, strong notes of caramel, bread, cocoa, and dark fruits outlined by bourbon and oak, but then the maple kicks in and dispels any notions of subtlety or restraint. Grows syrupy sweet with an overpronounced oak bitterness, turning the finish cloy with hints of diet root beer and cheap chocolate. Grows even more clumsy and overbearing as the pint warms; like Drafty Kilt's fatter, pushier frat boy older brother. Nope.

Can from Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of foam that dissipates quickly. Lots of pear, pineapple, honeydew melon, cantaloupe aromas on the nose with some persimmon notes as it warms. Smooth and dank on the palate with more durian. A slight creaminess on the texture that comes out as it warms. ABV hidden fairly well. Some mild bitterness on the finish with more pineapple, durian and fuzzy peach. Leans sweeter rather than dry, but the dank and mild bitterness balances it out on the finish.

Tasty dry-ass IPA from Monday Night. A murderers' row of hops (Columbus, Mandarina Bavaria, Simcoe, Citra, Ekuanot, Mosaic, Comet and Galaxy) provides a wide range of deliciousness: grapefruit, lemon-lime, mandarin oranges, berry, pineapple, mango, earth, pine, dank...you want it, it's in there. Yet the standout is the lingering bitterness on the finish, a dry, oily, resinous back end that refuses to yield after all the crowd-friendly hop notes drift away. Granted, a honey-dusted sweetness graces the middle, but the fade's what makes this pint. Nice job, Monday Night. Guess I'll go dig my lone cardigan out of the closet.

2018 12oz can from Craft Brewed. Pours a deep brown with a finger of beige foam that dissipates quickly. Toffee forward nose with some light smoked malt, vanilla, oak and a hint of bourbon aroma. On the palate more toffee and vanilla with prune and raisin notes alongside light oak. Smooth overall with a creamy, rich texture on the palate. Booze is fairly well hidden. Lingering toffee/caramel, vanilla with a slight warming finish.

A striking clash between elements, with strong herbal-chive notes from the hops not entirely meshing with the strawberry tartness. Creates an odd melange of fruits-n-veggies in one glass, complicated by the addition of honey and vanilla. Not overly sweet, but overly busy, and ultimately too disparate to make for a tasty pint. Lovely nose gives off strawberry and mint, and the feel's just about perfect, creamy and medium-full and lush. Just can't get behind the taste.

Can from Craft Brewed shared on Thanksgiving. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Huge, pungent citrus aromas dominate with lots of peach, pineapple and passion fruit notes. Starts out a bit sweet on the palate with the peach dominating, but as it warms the zest and pith really come in a dry things out. As I'm sipping on this, it is amazingly dry for this kind double IPA. Dry, pithy finish that comes off without being too bitter at all. Perfectly balanced for the ABV. Another hit from MNB.

Standard fruity sour, big on lacto citric tart notes, augmented slightly by the blackberry juice, which adds tartness, and the lemon zest, which adds...citrus. Huh. Feeling like a broken record, but Dr. Robot's yet another one-note sour, the note being, well, sourness. Fruity, refreshing, and uninteresting. The pink hue's nice, I guess.
