Americanized hefeweizen, lighter on the banana-clove sweetness and with a more assertive floral hop bite on the back end. Not enough to count as overly bitter, but definitely drier than its European brethren. Grass and grain add a nice middle, while the finish grows bready and mildly citric, with a yeasty, clove-laden fade. Not a classic, but drinkable as hell on a 90-degree Fourth of July afternoon.

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Thanks Nathan! Pours a clearish copper with a finger of foam that lingers, then dissipates. Big, caramel and honey aromas dominate the nose with vanilla as it warms and a hint of orange and booze. More honey and orange cognac notes on the palate with caramel. Lingering orange and vanilla, with toasted caramel. Smooth and rich, with great flavor. Solid stuff.

Danke an Heyta. Vollmundig, etwwas Alkohol, intensiv. Die Fruchtnoten bleiben intensiv, geringe Karbonisierung. Langer Nachgeschmack. 9/11/10/13/12/12

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish burnt yellow to orange with a finger of foam that dissipates. Light clove aromas with some cracked wheat. Smooth and slightly creamy on the palate with more banana and clove. Well-balanced with some light lemon on the finish. Better than a lot of American renditions on the style.

Rather indulgent DIPA from Monday Night, a juicy, resinous hop bomb both full of lovely bright tropical-citrus notes and a firm bitterness on the back end. Malts add a caramel-slathered biscuit base, while pine, earth, green pepper, and liquor warmth create a wickedly enticing finish. Peppery finish might swing a little too far into boozy heat for a second pint, but still a very nice beer. Pours gold with a slight bit of haze and a thin head. Lacing's not great, but the nose is spectacular, with waves of mango and pineapple and grain billowing from the glass. Tasty.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish gold with a finger of fluffy head that lingers. Peach and mango on the nose. Smooth on the palate, bright citrus. Really drinkable with nice tropical fruit flavors, but still has some bitterness to counterbalance the sweetness. Crushable.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clearish gold with a full finger of foam that lingers. Light grainy aromas with some lemon and grassy hops. Smooth, with a grainy texture. Toasted malt, low bitterness, but bland. A nice blonde, but a fairly boring take on the style.

Draft at Craft Brewed. Pours a clear gold with a finger of foam that lingers. Lovely pineapple and citrus forward nose with some toasted caramel and grassy aromas. Medium bitterness on the palate, fruity hops with a nice lingering bitter, pithy finish. Solid stuff. It's nice to see more West Coast stuff getting distro in Nashville. We don't have anyone locally doing the style well consistently.

Draft pour at Craft Brewed. Pours a pitch black with a finger of creamy head that lingers. Rich and decadent brownie and fudge aromas with light smoked cacao nib and toasted caramel notes. Smooth as silk on the palate, with the abv showing, but fairly well hidden. Lots more chocolate and oak, sweet but not cloying with some lingering whisky notes on the finish. Great beer from Monday Night.
