Bottle (batch LB-006 from 7/14/11). Pours with a murky red to brown hued body with a foamy tan head. Aromas are estery, sweet, toffee and boozy. Lots of fusel and dark fruits. Flavors are exaggerated fig and date esters, plastic, blatant fusel and raisinated. Medium to full body and violently warming. By itself, not great, went decently well with some home made sauerbraten.

On tap at Flying Saucer. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma has notes of grassy hops and a strong hay note with a hint of sweetness. Flavor begins with grassy notes, but is mainly full of grain an wheat. The finish does bring a slight bitterness.

Flavor begins with a lot of mesquite smoke and is joined by coffee, bitter chocolate and roasted malts. Drank nicely.
