Description
This pub brewery started brewing in May 2002. A 5BBL plant is used. It brews not only for the pub but also for other outlets, too. Sales of bottles started in 2003. The beers are kräusened with fresh wort before being bottled.

From cask. Pours cloudy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is citrusy and light fruity. Bitter, light citrusy and crisp hoppy. Dry and bitter finish.

Cask (handpump) @ Guildford Arms, 1 West Register Street, Edinburgh, Scotland EH2 2AA.Clear medium orange yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, moderate hoppy, orange - citrus. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, tart sharp hops, grass - silage notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20120423]

Bottle. Frothy white fair mostly deminishing head. Dark yellow colour. Light malty and hoppy aroma. Medecine notes. Light malty and hoppy flavor. Short light bitter finish. Oilt palate. Flat.

Bottle, 3.9%. Slightly hazy deep golden with tiny to no head. Aroma is malt, little caramel and a little oxidized? Flavour is malt, medium sweet, flat, hops, little bitter and a little watery.

Bottle from Kris Wines. Medium head with medium duration, Color is dark golden. Aroma and taste are malt, caramel notes, nuts, water and hops. Hardly any carbonation.

Very dark brown beer, opaque. No head, no carbonation. Tangy rich unsweet chocolate. A little orange near the neutral finish. Not much else going on. Flat as a pancake but just about okay.

Clear dark amber beer, no head. Toffee, licorice and marmalade nose. Palate i slow carbonation. Mild toffee blends in to strong licorice. Tiny bit of hop in the even finish. Different!

Bottle at Pat’s Birthday Party, ChrisO’s, London. Pours clear, pale yellow with a small, white head. Straw, dry wood or something in the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with wood and straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. Dry finish with some crispy dough, pale malts, light hay bitterness. Not bad.
