Draft pour pint at Stogies and Hops. It’s cool to start seeing more obscure offerings from these guys hitting Seattle, instead of the same two. Copper bRonde pour with an active fizz head. Gentle malt aroma. Toast heavy malt, with a dense bitter hop constant. Tasty brown for sure, and unique for the style.

12 oz can poured. Part of the recent GoodLife cans that have made it up to Seattle this last week. Glad they did. These sessions they have going on are some damn good stuff. darker copper color pour with a moderate foam head and lacing. Grapefruit like hops aroma. Flavor is consistent with the aroma, with an addition of melon and other citrus. Finishes cool and juicy. Another crusher offering from these guys. Solid.

12 oz can picked up at Beer Junction. Good to see some new GoodLife cans making the rounds. Always loved the beer, and having them in crushable vessels makes it even better. I love drinking beer for a good cause too. Forests are rad. Pours a pale golden color that matches the can in the right light. Cool looking can. Pleasant, gentle balanced aroma of citrus hops and malt. Cool juicy hops, light, easy drinking finish. This is what I want in a session IPA. Will likely be the next 6 pack I buy. Awesome stuff.

Draft pour at Toronado Seattle. I can officially say that I have been poured a lager in a stem glass. Milestones. That’s what this site is all about right? Sometimes? Bretty, slightly sour orange fruit aroma. Dominant brett character as expected, though the idea of the science is still confusing. Nice orange fruit and hop combo profile to follow. Top of the line when it comes to originality. Loved it.

Draft pour pint at Toronado Seattle. Pours a dark reddish copper color with a thick foam head. Sweet side malt aroma. Flavor is smooth and rich malt up front, with a small hint of cherry like linger. I swear it’s in there. Soft caramel malt finish. Knocks on the door of being too sweet, but remains a solid red for me.

12 oz can. Aroma is SweeTarts, grapefruit, bread, grain. Pours hazy amber with a thick beige head with good retention; leaves behind some splotchy lace. Taste is lightly sweet, medium bitter, a bit caramelly. A bit thin and watery. Kind of average. Wish I could find a date on this can.
