Way better than the hefe I had at the other location, legit delicious coconut flavor, like oatmeal cookie and samoas vibes. This was ratebeer's 2018 top porter I think.

No obvious BB date. light yellow ligthly hazy color, medium big white head. smells of ginger, leathery, earthy, bit citric. decent smell. medium to full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. tastes of ginger, bit citric, spices, peppery, light sweetness, some herbs. finishes light to medium bitter with notes of ginger, citrus and spices. pretty decent but not totally my thing, rather artifical and also quite heavy. small glass is enough.

Sample at GABF 10/07/2017, thanks to my bro for assistance with note-taking. Reddish-brown color with a medium thin light beige head that recedes quickly. Small patches of lace. Aroma of bourbon, malt and dark fruit. Medium to full body with flavors of bourbon, caramel malt and fruity yeast. The finish is oaky with a boozy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Sample at GABF 10/07/2017, thanks to my bro for assistance with note-taking. Clear dark golden color with a medium thick fluffy white head that diminishes gradually. Sparse strings of lace. Oaky and fruity aroma with yeast and malt notes. Light to medium body with a vinous oak and tart fruit character, and flavors of yeast and doughy malt in the background. The finish is oaky and tart with a peach wine aftertaste. Pretty good overall.

On tap at the brewery. Hazy, bright yellow color, with a small, off-white head and some lacing. Good, mellow lemon, cloves, and biscuit dough. Sweet, very yeasty, with a light citrusy tartness. Light to medium body, crisp, acidic, and creamy. This is a surprisingly nice hefeweizen, with lots of yeasty esters.

On tap at the brewery. Black, with a small, bubbly beige head. The nose is light coffee and cocoa, with some chicory, and a bit of coconut. The coconut comes forward strong in the mouth, surprisingly, because it is so faint in the aroma. Very sweet, with a nice earthy bitterness to balance. Heavy body, oily, thick and sticky. This is a fun and very coconut forward beer.

On tap at the brewery. Dark ruby brown, with a small, persistent, tan head, and thick lacing The nose is maple syrup, vanilla, light coffee, and anise. Very sweet and boozy, with a mild, easy bitterness. Heavy body, syrupy, thick, and chewy. This is a fun and boozy beer, but a little strong on the barrel.
