Bottle, at RBNG-14 Grand Tasting. An unclear, orange-yellow beer with a small, white head. The aroma has a pleasant fruityness, with some yeast and a faint note of spices. Some banana too. The flavor has the same yeastyness and banana, and a little touch of cloves. Medium body, soft carbonation. Some bitterness towards the bananaish and orangey finish. Sure a drinkable one, but far from the best wheat beer I’ve had. 140215

Bottle, at RBNG-14 Grand Tasting. An unclear, orange-golden beer with a small, white head. The aroma has fruityness dominating, with some pale malts and a sourish fruity touch. It’s medium bodied with a pleasant carbonation level. Semi-sweet, with fruity flavors and some pale malts. Citrus and some tropical fruits. Rather short finish. Nothing special going on here, but it’s quite decent anyway. 140215

Medium beige head. Slightly hazy deep dark brown body. Campfire smoke aroma with earthy creosote notes. Acidic earthy smoky taste with vinegary notes. Thinnish body. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Not analyzing any further, because this is infected and not fit to drink. Drainpour. (0.5l bottle, from wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

Dark brown. Cream head. Aroma of camp fire and smoke with hints of star anis and roasted print cards. Fairly dry and thin mouthfeel. Taste is slightly sour. Dissapointing aftertaste.

Flaske (fra polets nettbutikk) på Holmens omstikkings- og tappekveld: mild røykaroma og pent gardinskum. Myk munnfølelse, men i den tynne enden av skalaen. En lett syrlighet minner som meg om hjemmelaget saft-og-vann hadde det ikke vært for røymaltinnslaget.

500ml bottle, batch 0074, 5.1 % abv, from Vinmonopolet Langnes Tromsø. Noisy, beige head of middling size and fine duration. Spotty lace to the glass. Hazy, dark orange coloured body. Aromas of earthy malts, lightly smoked, and anise. Not that well balanced flavours of chocolate powder, smoked malts, anise and semi-tart apricot. Developing roasted malt bitter ending. Medium bodied. Likable without reaching greater heights (Tromsø 01.02.2014).

Flaske fra polets nettbutikk, batch 71 (tappet 30.12.13): uklar dyp gylden farge med flott skum som varer. Søtlig/fruktig aroma med appelsinmarmelade og mer enn et snev av gjær. God munnfylde og smaken er riktig inspirerende til å begynne med, men etter hvert savner jeg den syrlige friskheten som kjennetegner en virkelig god ipa og som gjør at man kan drikke mer enn et glass.
